The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a FLASH FLOOD WATCH for all of Northern New York and Vermont through this evening. Widespread 1 to 2 inch rainfall totals occurred across the region last night. More thunderstorms are expected today with another 1 to 3 inches of rainfall possible into early tonight. Areas most susceptible to flooding will be in Vermont north of Rutland and Windsor counties.
*INSTRUCTIONS: A FLASH FLOOD WATCH means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
